Restaurant review

"After this quite sumptuous menu, we skip the petits fours, which also have to be ordered separately here. But that doesn't detract from the overall impression. Because the performance was more than surprising. From the snacks to the dessert, it was a flawless performance, which the 14 points currently awarded do not do justice to. On the contrary, I consider what Christian de Vries has delivered here to be clearly at star level. The work here is precisely crafted, classic and contemporary at the same time, which certainly fits in perfectly with the modern ambience of the historic building. The Prinsenhof's recognisably high standards are also matched by the extremely attentive and approachable service. The sommelier Ronald Aikes-van Dijk, who now also takes on the role of host, plays a large part in this. In addition to his expertise, he also provides just the right personal touch with the odd bit of small talk to make you feel well looked after." (Published in October 2024)

"The blend of local produce and cosmopolitan flavours is spot on. The dishes are very well-defined."
