BERLIN: The Berlin restaurant Crackers is celebrating its tenth anniversary. For ten days, from 9 to 19 January 2025, there will be a special sharing menu. It starts with three starters for everyone at the table, followed by a large main course with three side dishes to share and a dessert to finish. Those who like it classic can choose the fish/meat option (€89), while vegans can opt for the plant-based version (€59). A glass of Ruinart champagne is included with both - as befits a birthday party. CRACKERS classics such as truffle carpaccio or grilled iceberg lettuce can of course be ordered separately. Reservations for two or more people can be made at www.crackersberlin.com CRACKERS is more than just a restaurant - it is a statement of modern Berlin gastronomic culture. Open seven days a week, it combines culinary excellence with an urban lifestyle.

Vision & experience

Anyone who steps through the heavy iron door of the Cracker on Friedrichstraße today would have no idea that the legendary Cookies Club once ruled the nights here. In 2014, 'Cookie' Heinz Gindullis dared to do the impossible: He transformed a club room into a restaurant that would redefine the boundaries between fine dining and Berlin nightlife. Something completely new was created in the former cinema hall of the French Cultural Institute. The architectural concept by Laura Rave and Jörg Schumacher skilfully plays with the history of the location: a floating dining island in the centre, dramatic glass chandeliers above the bar, everything bathed in deep, atmospheric blue with acid yellow accents.

The journey into CRACKERS begins with a special ritual: guests enter the restaurant through the open kitchen - an immediate statement of transparency and authenticity. This is where the boundaries between restaurant and bar culture merge. At weekends, resident DJs provide the perfect soundtrack to accompany the culinary creations. Under the direction of chefs Patrick Ziegert and Felix Klawitter, a world unfolds that combines Berlin avant-garde with international influences. Freshly caught fish from sustainable wild fisheries meets innovative plant-based dishes, while selected meat from regional partners enriches the menu. The restaurant is particularly proud of its close collaboration with a Brandenburg farm, which supplies fresh produce for vegetarian and vegan creations every day.

Present & future

CRACKERS has established itself as an institution that radiates far beyond the borders of Berlin. As a meeting place for foodies and night owls, a glamorous venue for the official Berlinale closing party and the setting for legendary Halloween celebrations, the restaurant creates a place where time stands still and every evening becomes a special experience. After ten successful years, CRACKERS is looking confidently to the future. With innovative concepts, sustainable partnerships and the characteristic mix of cuisine, art and culture, Cookie's team is setting new standards in Berlin's catering industry. CRACKERS remains true to its DNA: a place that brings people together and blurs the boundaries between dining, art and nightlife.
