The Duc Ngo in the new Roomers Berlin
BERLIN: The Hotel am Steinplatz is to become the new Roomers Berlin. Gastronomer The Duc Ngo is also taking over responsibility for the hotel's catering. This was announced by the Gekko Group. On 1 January, it will take over the management of the renowned hotel, which will welcome guests as Roomers Berlin in future. At the same time, the Sircle Collection will take over the management of the Boutique Hotel Provocateur Berlin.
The gastronomy is to become a special highlight under the leadership of The Duc Ngo, who has already realised successful projects such as moriki, Burbank and Golden Phoenix in close collaboration with Micky Rosen and Alex Urseanu. For Roomers Berlin on Steinplatz, the Gekko Group is delighted to be realising a French brasserie concept with The Duc Ngo.
The Duc Ngo, born in Vietnam and raised in Berlin, combines influences from Asian, European and American cuisine in his concepts. Since opening his first restaurant in 1999, he has built an impressive portfolio of restaurants and bars, including award-winning concepts such as moriki, Madame Ngo, 893 Ryōtei and Golden Phoenix. The Duc Ngo is known for his vision of combining cultural diversity into unique flavour experiences, often working closely with his Korean business partner and interior design muse Hyunjung Kim. Together, they not only create gastronomic highlights, but also inspiring spaces such as the multifunctional event and art space Le Duc. Their projects are characterised by a harmonious combination of excellent cuisine, innovative design and artistic atmosphere. With his expertise and creativity, The Duc Ngo has had a lasting influence not only on the German, but also the international gastronomy market. His collaboration with the Gekko Group on projects such as moriki, Burbank and Golden Phoenix is proof of his ability to transform visionary concepts into unforgettable experiences. With his new brasserie concept for Roomers Berlin on Steinplatz, he will once again demonstrate his extraordinary ability to unite culinary and aesthetic worlds.
Folkert Krause, the former General Manager of Roomers Frankfurt, will take over as Hotel Director of Roomers Berlin. With his many years of experience and his commitment to excellent hospitality, he will embody the values and unique flair of the Roomers brand in Berlin and, together with his team, create an exceptional experience for guests.
