The eat!Berlin programme
BERLIN: The eat!Berlin food festival has published its programme for the coming year. This also means that ticket sales have begun.
In recent years, eat!Berlin has focussed on extraordinary "once in a lifetime events" in Berlin's top gastronomy. The organisers invited guest chefs and guest winemakers, placed great emphasis on culinary excellence and celebrated the fine art of gastronomy. The focus was traditionally on upscale gastronomy, exclusive events and a special style and atmosphere.
eat! berlin 2025 will take place between 20 February and 2 March 2025 .
This year, 42 events will take place over eleven days, with a total of around 7,000 festival visitors expected. Festival director Bernhard Moser is visibly proud of this achievement: "Once again, we are bringing people out of their winter depression in February". Berlin greats such as Max Strohe, Marco Müller, Michael Kempf, Nikodemus Berger, Philipp Vogel, Christopher Wecker, Stephan Eberhard, Thomas Kammeier, Christopher Kümper, Herbert Beltle, Franz Raneburger, Peter Frühsammer, Kai Michels, Florian Glauert, Markus Herbicht and many more are already traditionally part of the festival.
However, this year we did not want to do without national and international players such as Viktoria Fuchs, Nils Henkel, Tobias Sudhoff, Thorsten Hauk, Sascha Stemberg, Jens Rittmeyer, Simon Tress, Titti Qvarnström, Maik Albrecht and Marco D' Andrea . Austria is traditionally a particularly important guest country for eat! berlin. Once again this year, such great names as Andreas Döllerer, Lukas Nagl, Hannes Müller and Alexander Gründler will be coming to the capital.
The big eat! berlin stage will once again be dedicated to wine. For example, for the sommeliers Franziska Pauli, Janine Woltaire, Christiane Dutschmann and Viktoria Kniely at the Palais theatre in Berlin am Festungsgraben. Thanks to a cooperation with VDP.Die Prädikatsweingüter, eat!Berlin will once again be welcoming renowned winemakers: Regina Stigler, Caroline and Silvain Diel, Fritz Keller, Dodo Freiherr zu Knyphausen, Clemens Busch, Kai Schätzel, Rebecca Crusius, Gunter Keßler, Sandra Sauer and many more.Top international wines will also be presenting this year: head oenologist Cedrik Dechelette from Maison Chartron et Trébuchet will be coming from Bourgogne to present his absolute top vineyards at the event in the Hotel Adlon Kempinski. Véronique Dausse from Château Phélan Ségur will be coming to the Schmelzwerk in the Sarottihöfe from Bordeaux.
Another reason why the team behind the festival, which is one of the 10 best in the world according to Traveller's World, prefers February is truffles. "The magic tuber is always an important player at eat! berlin, the quality and availability is simply better in late winter," Managing Director Sina Moser is convinced. Here, our truffle supplier Massimo Ferradino presents himself as a truffle hiker and shows a great four-part event series. For the first time, we will also get to know our caviar partner Imperial Kaviar as a truffle supplier.
For the first time, eat! berlin 2025 is joining forces with Kalle Halle in Neukölln to bring ideas to plates and glasses. The eat! berlin market thus combines top craftsmanship with a top-class food market. However, in order to stick to our brand promise, we only persuaded absolutely top players from Berlin to be part of this market. For example, the Hotel Adlon Kempinski, Hotel Orania.Berlin, Bonvivant Cocktail Bistro, Restaurant Tulus Lotrek, India Club, Schmelzwerk in the Sarottihöfe, Restaurant Eins44, Irma La Douce and as an absolute novelty at the Curry36 festival .So we are presenting culinary high performers such as Nikodemus Berger, Max Strohe, Philipp Vogel, Markus Herbicht, Manish Bakukhandi, Steffen Holle, Julius Nowak, Josef Viehhauser, Sigi Danler and others, all of whom have given thought to the topic of high-end street food.
The JRE Jeunes Restaurateurs Europe will even have their own stand, which they will staff with various chefs. The cheese will come from La Cantine d'Augusta, the beer from BRLO, there will be a French wine bar from Les Grand Chais de France and a VDP sparkling wine and wine bar. The market will be flanked by a stage programme from Tagesspiegel Checkpoint, as well as many other artists.
This year's eat! berlin would not be possible without strong partners. We would like to thank Havelland Express, Berliner Sparkasse, the Mattheis advertising agency, Profimiet, Zwiesel Kristallglas, Rheinsberger Preussenquelle, the RheinsbergerPreussenquelle, Orderbird, Kalle Halle and our hotel partners Pullmann Berlin Schweizerhof and Ameron Hotel Abion Spreebogen.
