Restaurant review

"Guido Braeken's cuisine is traditionally based, flavoursome but cosmopolitan, contemporary and impresses with the best products."

"We spent an exceptionally relaxed lunch with a meal that was on a solid two-star level. Guido Braeken's cuisine is traditionally based, flavoursome but cosmopolitan, contemporary and impresses with the best products. The combinations are rich in detail, but never overloaded and always aim for harmony of flavour. A large part of the feel-good factor is undoubtedly the service, which is pleasantly reserved but always present. Philipp Bock, who is first and foremost a sommelier but also a charming host, deserves special mention. His wine accompaniment is of a very high calibre and cleverly selected to match the standard of the restaurant. My husband takes over the driving duties today and opts for the non-alcoholic accompaniment for most courses, which also scores points for originality." (Published in September 2024)
