DÜSSELDORF The new Lido 1960 in the heart of Düsseldorf's harbour has been open for a few days now. The restaurant, designed by Ramona and Benjamin Kriegel, promises an unforgettable experience for anyone who values high-quality, sustainable cuisine.

"You can't discover new oceans without leaving your own harbour." True to this motto, Lido 1960 takes its guests on a culinary journey inspired by regional and seasonal produce. Each dish tells its own story and reflects the restaurant's philosophy: sustainability, quality and a deep respect for the ingredients, their origin and the unique terroir from which they come.

Culinary concept

Düsseldorf harbour is more than just a dock - it is a place of inspiration and change. The Lido 1960 embraces this spirit and creates a space where guests can find a safe harbour and discover new culinary horizons at the same time.

  • Regionality and seasonality: The menu changes regularly and is based on the best, regionally available products.
  • Sustainability: From purchasing to preparation, great importance is attached to sustainability in order to protect the environment.
  • Flavourful variety: Every dish tells its own story. Stories of its ingredients, their origins, flavours and textures.
  • Cosmopolitanism: Techniques and flavours from different countries are incorporated and implemented with regional ingredients
