"Chapeau, what the Wilbrand brothers offer here at lunchtime in their second restaurant, the "Postschänke", is the kind of high-quality regional restaurant cuisine with international influences that you often look for in the Rhineland (and elsewhere outside of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg), but unfortunately rarely find.These extremely tasty comfort dishes of home-style provenance, which are also served in generous portions, may not reinvent the wheel of regional cuisine, but they are elevated to a level that is rarely achieved even in above-average pub kitchens thanks to small twists and expressive sauces. Add to this the extremely attentive and eloquent service of the hostess, the informal atmosphere in which you won't be looked at sideways if you order a freshly tapped Gaffel-Kölsch instead of wine with your meal, the friendly furnishings, which is more reminiscent of a bistro than an inn, and the fair price-performance ratio (the 60 euros for the three-course lunch menu were extremely reasonable for what was on offer), all these little pieces of the mosaic add up to a restaurant that you would love to have in your neighbourhood!"
