Camers Schlossrestaurant closes
HOHENKAMMER. The Michelin-starred restaurant Camers at Schloss Hohenkammer will close at the end of the year. The reason for this is a strategic reorientation in the gastronomic concept of the event hotel, which is home to the restaurant with chef Florian Vogel. According to a press release, the company intends to focus more strongly on its core business in future, as the changed economic conditions have had a significant impact on the environment and demand behaviour, particularly in rural areas and in gourmet gastronomy.
Camers Schlossrestaurant was opened in 2015. Head chef Florian Vogel has achieved one star and numerous other ratings in the various restaurant guides. Florian Vogel and his team are characterised by impressive teamwork, which has contributed significantly to the success of Camers. The service management team, led by Andrea Schum, complemented the culinary excellence with excellent service and attention to detail. "The great cooperation and team spirit were crucial to our success," emphasises Vogel. This team spirit has made Camers one of the top addresses for gourmets in Bavaria. "A big thank you to our wonderful guests who have supported us over the years," says Florian Vogel. "Their enthusiasm has made our work something special. We are grateful for the many shared moments."
Even if the Camers Schlossrestaurant closes at the end of the year, the gastronomic diversity at Schloss Hohenkammer will remain. Some Camers employees will join the teams in the other restaurants from 2025. The Gutshof restaurant will remain the culinary focal point for conferences and celebrations, while the Alte Galerie and the beer garden in the castle park will open their doors as usual and spoil hotel guests and visitors from the region with regional dishes.
