"Eichhalde presents Italian cuisine in a way that is very rare in Germany: modern, creative, but oriented towards the traditional flavours and aromas that have reached my heart and at the same time awaken my culinary curiosity with their ideas. The dishes largely appear relatively simple and purist, but as is so often the case, they conceal elaborate artisanal processes and the best products, allowing you to experience the reduction to the essentials. The stories that accompany the dishes on the menu give a good insight into what goes into achieving this quality. In any case, the Eichhalde is a recommendation for anyone who wants to experience Italian cuisine in a different and more creative way than you are used to from typical "high-end Italian restaurants". The restaurant offers distinctive cuisine at a very good one-star level, so I can definitely recommend the Eichhalde. The friendly team serves all dishes with Italian charm and the ambition to introduce guests to their own style of cuisine. I feel like I'm in a family restaurant rather than a restaurant driven by an excessive quest for perfection - without having to compromise on the professionalism of the service and wine advice."
