Alpine Cuisine Festival 2024

Austria

Discussions on the future challenges and perspectives of the culinary industry

On 30 September 2024, the 5th Alpine Cuisine Festival will take place at the Ferry Porsche Congress Center in Zell am See-Kaprun. Under the patronage of the pioneer of Alpine cuisine, JRE Andreas Döllerer, chefs, producers and refiners will discuss the future challenges and perspectives of the culinary arts.

Alpine cuisine is known for its special ingredients, the mix of traditional and modern approaches and an impressive number of creative producers and chefs. This makes it one of the most exciting developments of our time. This year's Alpine Cuisine Festival will focus on controversial topics, including the challenging task of taking over a business, the training of vegan chefs and the debate about artificially produced meat.

In addition to the delicious food, visitors can look forward to exciting panel discussions, for example with Karl and Rudi Obauer, JRE Klemens Schraml and food critic Wolfgang Faßbender. Different and similar points of view will be exchanged at the generation talk, with protagonists including Bettina Edlinger and her son Dominik from Hotel Bergrose in Strobl and JRE Hannes Müller from Genießerhotel Forelle am Weißensee and his daughter Hanna.
ServusTV presenter Conny Bürgler and editor of Gault & Millau Austria Karl Hohenlohe will host the day's programme from 9 am to 5 pm.

Three-star chef Sven Wassmer as a guest in Salzburger Land

One of the absolute highlights is the live cooking show by Swiss celebrity chef Sven Wassmer. He presents a signature dish and offers visitors fascinating insights into his interpretation of "Alpine cuisine".

Under the direction of 5-toque chef Andreas Döllerer, top chefs Florian Zillner (Flos Restaurant, Zell am See), Christoph Schernthaner (FinESSEN Restaurant at the Tauern Spa in Kaprun), Jaimy Reisinger (Patissiére of the Year 2023, JRE Hubert Wallner's restaurant in Maria Wörth) and Viktoria Fahringer (Female Chef of the Year 2024, Tiroler Hof Restaurant in Kufstein) will spoil guests with their signature dishes at the Alpine Lunch. After the stage programme, the day ends with networking with industry representatives under the motto Törgellen with South Tyrolean producers.
