"Christoph Kunz's cuisine is convincing - with a creative interplay of flavours, but also with interesting and unusual products and preparation of the products. Overall, the menu seems a little more purist and therefore more focussed than I last experienced at Alois. It is noticeable that the freshness and acidity used in several courses is quite present, giving the dishes a top note that makes other details a little less present than they could be. For me, this interplay of flavours is consistently successful and harmonious. The two stars are therefore completely justified - for me it was even an above-average two-star performance, also because the menu maintained the high level throughout and showed no weaknesses."
