A breath of fresh air at the bar at Portun Munich
MUNICH: Restaurant Portun Munich is now relying on artistic support behind the bar. Bartender Filip Kadlec has over 20 years of experience mixing cocktails and has been enchanting guests with his sophisticated drinks since 2 July 2024. In addition to the exciting Alpe-Adria cuisine served by the two chefs Daniel Martinovic and Zarko Skocic, guests now also feel like they are on holiday at the bar. The fruity, fresh signature cocktail "Tiki Old Fashioned" with reduced coconut water and Plantation Pineapple Rum pays homage to the classic Piña Colada and conjures up images of the azure blue sea, lush green palm trees and white sandy beaches. Munich-born Kadlec ran the Ksar Club for 13 years, working in Munich at restaurants including DO & CO, Trattoria Marta and Gigi, as well as gaining international experience in Dubai. Guests can also look forward to new culinary delights at the bar. Small delicacies such as Galloway beef tartare, panko prawns or the special Portun tapenade with tomatoes and olives are the ideal accompaniment to Kadlec's multifaceted creations. Restaurant Portun, Leopoldstraße 150, is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11.30 am to 3 pm and from 6 pm to 11 pm. "At Portun, one of Munich's most beautiful restaurants for me, I can now express myself creatively again. My individual creations and newly staged drinks will be shaking up Schwabing from now on," says Kadlec, looking forward to his new position. Located in the hip Schwabinger Tor building complex, the Portun restaurant appeals to guests who value flavourful and authentic cuisine. In addition to the Alpe-Adria cuisine, which is prepared with hand-picked ingredients from the region and inspired by a great attitude to life, the new signature cocktails are the icing on the cake. Kadlec focuses on authenticity and a genuine flavour experience. The 39-year-old particularly emphasises the hospitality of the restaurant owners: "Lula and Marko Pešić characterise Portun with a warm and familiar atmosphere that makes you feel right at home."
