The end for The Izakaya in Wachenheim

WACHENHEIM AN DER WEINSTRASSE. The restaurant 'Weck Worschd un Woi' is closing. According to a social media post, the business "can no longer be maintained due to many factors".

The restaurant opened five years ago under the name The Izakaya as a sister restaurant to Intense and had a star in the Michelin Guide from 2020 to 2022. The post continues: "We could get sentimental now and reminisce about the many wonderful evenings with you, but you can still find us and part of the "Izakaya" team at Intense." Since the move from Kallstadt to Wachenheim, Intense has been located in the immediate vicinity. The premises of the former Intense can still be booked for events until the end of November.

The concept was only changed in April from the Asian-inspired cuisine of The Izakaya to interpretations of Palatinate cuisine.
