Tristan Brandt presents menu for WinterVarieté
HEIDELBERG. Semi-final preparations for the eighth season of the popular Heidelberg dinner show "WinterVarieté by Tristan Brandt": at a press conference held at the recently opened new partner hotel "ATLANTIC" in Heidelberg, the organising trio Riadh Bourkhis, Florian Keutel and top chef Tristan Brandt presented their culinary programme as well as a whole host of news. The season will start on 21 November 2024.
The internationally successful top chef Tristan Brandt is looking forward to the coming season together with the two organisers Florian Keutel and Riadh Bourkhis. Tristan Brandt, who is entering his second season, presented his 3-course gourmet menu, which once again includes a vegetarian alternative this year, to an audience of gourmets.
"The world belongs to those who savour it: Once again, in collaboration with Christian Adam and our kitchen team, I have created a delicious menu that combines art on the plate with art on the stage. 'Simply delicious, simply pure enjoyment' is our motto. In the coming season, we also want to prove that the dishes can be of high quality despite the large number of guests - just like the show on stage," explains Tristan Brandt.
As a starter, guests will be served a "two-tiered chestnut dish" consisting of a chestnut soup with milk foam and black truffle and a chestnut ravioli with celeriac puree and sage butter. For the main course, visitors can look forward to a "guinea fowl suprême label rouge" with breast & dim sum, ginger-lime jus, miso foam and a baked aubergine with mushroom cream and black sesame. The vegetarian alternative also fulfils the demands of gourmets. They will be served a "cauliflower in textures" with miso foam, cauliflower puree, baked florets, sweet & sour couscous and a fried polenta slice with black sesame seeds. The final sweet highlight is a "chocolate dome" with cherry sorbet, cherry ragout and roasted chocolate soil.
After the presentation of the gourmet menu, the event trio, together with host and hotel director Stephan Sporer, surprised the numerous press guests with a tasting of the menu by Tristan Brandt. The culinary conclusion of the press conference took place on the 15th floor of the hotel - in the scenic restaurant "15 High" with a breathtaking view of Heidelberg. Of course, a foretaste of the show programme was not to be missed, this exclusive excerpt was provided by the duo Alansia with their pole acrobatics. More about the artists and show programme for the coming season has not yet been revealed at this point: "We will be presenting the artists and acts at a separate press conference shortly," said Florian Keutel.
In addition to the culinary programme, Florian Keutel and Riadh Bourkhis reported on other good news and presented the current advance ticket sales figures. "By mid-June, 3,000 tickets had already been sold, which is a great success for us. And as of today, there are already over 4,800 tickets," said a delighted Riadh Bourkhis. And there's more to announce. The dinner show, which was previously located at the Tiergartenbad, is now pitching its tents at Messplatz, Kirchheimer Weg 69 in 69124 Heidelberg. "The move is a positive change of location for us. We want to continue to grow, optimise the concept and expand our range, while at the same time we need good public transport connections and sufficient parking directly at our location. The new location fulfils all these requirements and we are very much looking forward to starting here - also to further strengthen our regional ties and partnership with the city of Heidelberg," say Florian Keutel and Mathias Schiemer from Heidelberg Marketing GmbH.

As a final highlight of the press conference, Tristan Brandt announced another culinary message: "Anyone who knows me knows that I'm always good for surprises. In Riadh Bourkhis and Florian Keutel, I have found two creators who are always open to new ideas. And so we've come up with something very special for this year: the new gourmet event format 'Tristan & Friends', which will take place for the first time on 24 November 2024. Together with my colleagues and friends, star chefs Nico Burkhardt and Robert Rädel and TV audience favourite Mike Süsser, we will be treating guests to an evening of culinary delights in the WinterVarieté ShowArena. Each of the guest chefs and I will be cooking a course. The guests will therefore be served a 4-course gourmet menu. Further details will be announced shortly.
