"Martin Weghofer is still young and he is already demonstrating an impressive level of skill that gives us good reason to expect a lot more."

"As with many other chefs of his generation, Japanese or Asian influences can also be found in his dishes, but they are used in such a pointed way that it never comes across as bold or superficial. The European basis and traditional cookery skills continue to take centre stage here. The dishes are harmoniously composed and, above all, should taste harmonious, which is achieved throughout. The level of craftsmanship is also impressive. In my opinion, the minimal limitations, especially with the greetings, can be quickly corrected with minor adjustments. For me, the patisserie deserves a special mention, as it was able to raise the already high standard even further. Martin Weghofer is still a young man and he is already demonstrating an impressive level of skill here, which means there is still a lot to come. And he clearly has a plan for where he wants to go next: Aiming high." (Published in June 2024)
