New head chef at Ulm's Siedepunkt
ULM: Seyid Gümüstan is the new head chef at the Best Western Atrium plus Hotel in Ulm and is thus responsible for the culinary fortunes of the "100 Grad" restaurant and the award-winning "Siedepunkt" restaurant, which was awarded a Michelin star before it closed in January this year. He is also responsible for the range and culinary development of the "Siedepunkt Lehrwerkstatt" cookery school
Seyid Gümüstan has been working for the company since September 2022 and has helped cook up the coveted Michelin star for the "Siedepunkt" restaurant as sous-chef, while also working as head chef for the 100 Grad restaurant. He brings with him many years of experience from award-winning restaurants in Ulm and the surrounding area and, as a native of Ulm, knows the expectations of guests.
Holger Behrens, CEO of Scotty + Friends, Hotels & Resorts, which also owns the Best Western Hotel in Ulm, comments: "We are delighted that Mr Gümüstan has accepted this challenge and will further develop our hotel in culinary terms. This will enable us to continue to guarantee the high quality of the 100 Grad restaurant and together we will probably reopen the Siedepunkt with a new concept from autumn."
"I am delighted that my team and I will be able to further expand our successful culinary focus and that guests will once again be able to enjoy our creative yet classic cuisine at Siedepunkt," explains Seyid Gümüstan.
