Restaurant Yaku, Hamburg

"The quality of the menu is comparable to last year's in terms of products and preparation. But for me, the Yaku now emphasises its strengths better: this lies in the authentic, intense but always well-balanced spiciness and seasoning of the dishes. The dishes are all a little more palatable. It doesn't matter so much if, in my opinion, the meat could be cooked for a little less time, the flavours are still right and enjoyable. The ambience remains simple and the price level is pleasing. No dish costs more than 17 euros, which is really good value, especially for the ceviche. The portions are designed in such a way that you are comfortably full with four dishes.
For me, Yaku is a recommendation if you fancy immersing yourself in a different world of flavours and want to stay on budget.
According to my colleague, it's the best restaurant serving Peruvian cuisine, and not just in Hamburg." (Published June 2024)
