Restaurant-Rangliste 2024
New frontrunner in Japan
Restaurant Sazenka in Tokyo is the best restaurant in Japan in 2024, according to Restaurant-Ranglisten.de's evaluation of the scores of the country's most important restaurant guides. It replaces Quintessence, which has led the rankings for the past three years and is now in second place. It shares this place with the restaurants L'Osier and Ryugin in Tokyo, which achieved the same score.
Newcomers to the top 10 are Kanda in Tokyo in fifth place, which was in 15th place last year, and Isshisoden Nakamura in Kyoto, which improves from 13th place to sixth place. In addition, Florilège in eighth place and Den and Sushi Saito in ninth place are among the top 10 again or for the first time.
The best newcomer to the rankings is Ichirin in Tokyo, which immediately reaches 93rd place, while Sushi Sanshin in Osaka is the newcomer of the year, rising from 432nd to 78th place.
The ranking takes into account 596 restaurants that have achieved ratings in the Michelin Guide, Gault&Millau, Tabolog Guide and the Asia's 50 Best and La Liste rankings.
