Michael Hoffmann to close the MARGAUX in Berlin

A new start planned for the coming year

Berlin. One of Berlin's most prominent chefs is realigning. Michael Hoffmann will be closing his restaurant MARGAUX in February 2014. The 45 year-old who is famed for his herb and vegetable oriented menus will continue to aim for sustainability in the kitchen. However the chef with the Michelin star has not yet divulged his precise plans. "The world has changed, Berlin has changed, even gourmet cooking is different to what it was 15 years ago. The direction that I took some time ago along the road of sustainability in cooking is one I definitely want to continue on and to work on the content of new concepts, projects and places. For me it means more than that, it is an ethical responsibility which the top cooks should accept in the 21st century. I would like to be able to give answers", was Michael Hoffmann's comment on his decision.  Source: Margaux
